Mike Maffia

Managing Partner
Mike is a founding partner of Borel Hill with over $10 billion in commercial real estate transaction experience. He built and led a national investment platform, completing 1,500+ deals across 41 states. Mike later transitioned to principal investing, developing nearly $250 million in projects with IRRs exceeding 50%. He holds a B.A. in Economics and an M.S. in Applied Economics and Finance from UC Santa Cruz.

Dan McDonough

Managing Partner
Dan is a founding partner of Borel Hill and former SVP of Acquisitions at FPA Multifamily, where he led 100+ transactions totaling over $4B across major U.S. markets. A former U.S. Army Captain, Dan served three combat tours in Iraq and is a graduate of Ranger and Airborne School. His military experience shaped his disciplined, strategic approach to investing. He holds a B.A. from UCLA and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School.

Henry Cassiday

DIRECTOR, PORTFOLIO MANAGER
Henry Cassiday was a Director at Newmark, where he led, executed, and structured over $5 billion in debt and equity financing solutions for institutional clients nationwide. He began his career as an Analyst at Eastdil Secured in Los Angeles, underwriting and facilitating portfolio and asset-level transactions across investment sales, debt placement, and loan sales. He earned both his BBA and Master’s in Finance from USC, where he captained the men’s volleyball team and was a three-time All-American.
